culprit CSR plus

Hi Gang

I am currently applying patents on my new arm cup that removed the extensions.

I know tri rig scoop ultimate is close to 900 plus extensions

aerocoach escalons for 900 usd

shop for watts anemoi for 2000 usd

what price would you be willing to pay for something with the bolt pattern like my current culprit CSR and a whole range of adjustment kinda like look aergo but not infringing their patent.

looking forward to your feedback.

Do you mean similar to (but of course not infringing on :)) the scoops or scoops ultimate with extensions essentially built in?

$100 more than the cost of cups plus Carbon extensions. The value in cups at ~$150-$175 is so disproportionately better than what TriRig and others offer right now I don’t even understand why anyone buys those $800+ products (and in the case of culprit and TriRig the bigger cup is way better than longer pole with merely extra foam padding and a regular cup)

So, carbon extensions run 165-200 usd
Carbon cups around 170
If I can offer 500-600 usd all in

Would that be acceptable?

No. You find buy scoop cups/carbon extensions even at Tririg for ~$300 even before regular sales. So, personally I was thinking more like $400 total at the most (and if I'm really being totally honest...meaning what would I consider plunking down today for such a product, I probably wouldn't even pay quite that much as I usually won't pay for carbon extensions when I can find aluminum ones often with better shapes for ~$30). But, others may be an appetite for something in the $500 range. I have assumed that Tririg's ultimate scoops product has pushed more to consider the regular scoops as the price difference doesn't offer any value. But, triathletes love their fancy products. The problem is that I think most of those potential buyers are probably not familiar with your brand so you have an uphill battle. But, it would be great to see another product out there!

Sounds interesting, but could you post an image of the aerobar item(s) that you are trying to get feedback on?

If you do, I think that you will get lots more useful feedback.

Give his intent to show his product would not infringe on the competitors I don’t that’s a good idea but you can look at TriRig scoops ultimate as an example of extended cups/extensions coupled together.

No worries, I thought that your armrests were similar to others on the market.

But, whenever you can, it would be interesting to see them, but no rush, protect your invention.

The Vision TFE is $400, so I think that is a good goal.

Two questions:

What's the lead time on the regular culprit CSR to Texas? Give or take.

And regarding the Culprit CSR Plus, where is everything attached? to handlebar/basebar? To stem?

Current csr in stock now, shipping takes 3-5 days via FedEx. Just order it on our site.

New csr+. Can attach directly to any current aerobar attachment if you can accept an unused 22.2 tube attachment.

Or, we have a universal 2 riser style converter which uses your current aerobar risers with bolt spacing from 15 mm to 40 mm to my system with tilt, or my own 31.8 clip on style attachment, or yes our own alloy stem is being developed with the bare bore aerobar attachment.

We will make adapters next year for shiv disc and cervelo monopost.

Cheers

Joshua

As a user of your cups and one of the early purchasers, I would totally be in at $175-250.

How would these work with the TriRig Alpha basebar setup? Would we need to replace the dragonfly setup?

Can they be angled inward vs. being perpendicular to the basebar?
