I am currently riding a '99 cannondale ms 800 with a shimano 105 crankset with a 175 arm length. My inseam is 31" and I am wondering if a 180 arm length crank will be of any significant benefit. Also what about adding teeth to my 53/39 chainrings. any thoughts?

180 seems pretty long for a 31 inch inseam. I've been riding 175s for about 7 years now and have a 33 inch inseam. As for the chainring, I ride a 55 up front with an 11-23 rear setup and like that gearing. I think that switching that will give much more benefit than a longer crank arm.
