I don't know anyone using that brand but I have seen some Digirit ones floating around the group rides I'm in.

There are better priced ones out there. CoolChange is just rebranding another cage. Digirit can be had for $85. KCNC has one for $90.

I don't have experience with either as I am still rocking the Berner 13t-15t cage. My thought is you would have better luck with a small tooth top pulley wheel with larger cassettes. In my case, I use the Berner stock with a 32t.

The tension on the spring when you take the cage apart ;)

Are jockey wheels typically Aluminum? I see the SLF ones are titanium, but the Ceramic Speed are Aluminum as well. I assumed they weren't, but I have no knowledge of this. I can see race applications, but I am curious about wear or if it is under as much tension as the cassette for everyday purposes.

Ceramic Speed will sell you $1700 titanium 3d printed wheels. SLF Motion is a much better value :)

Question, why do you think that a smaller pulley is better for the top pulley? It seems that that would negate the aim of reducing pulley and chain friction?

Given that most stock pulleys (on "typical" derailleurs like Red/Force/Rival Dura Ace/Ultegra/105) have less than half a watt of drag, are the improvements that these aftermarket pulleys claim to provide cost-effective?

it's the losses in the chain, not the pulleys that are the reduction goal, but still less than 2 w under best lab test conditions and assuming zero aero impact

I have just recently installed a Rockbros 17 tooth pulley system on my race bike. I replaced the Dura Ace 9100 rear derailleur with a 9000 version because the instructions stated that this particular pulley system was compatible with the 9000 (amongst others) but did not mention the 9100. I did not expect to achieve any great increase in performance as I was simply experimenting with such things but it does give the impression that everything is much smoother and quieter.

I think I will keep it on for races.

"Cost-effective?" You have to be pretty crazy to try and justify these expenditures. It is best to forget about logic and just remember that each watt saved is a watt you didn't need make.

For me it is necessary (13t) in running my stock 9000 RD with an 11-32 in the back. With a 17T it is too big and I have to use a smaller cassette negating my 1x setup. Based on the FF report, this setup is incredible efficient but I don't doubt the 17t adds a little bit to the efficiency but again then the question is aero drag. 13t upper seems like the sweet spot to me.
