cervelo p3x weight question
Does anyone have any thoughts or feedback about how strong the new speed riser system and arm rests are on the new p3x? I am asking because I shopping for a new bike but am skeptical the p3x arm rests and speed riser will support me. I have a bulky upper body and I tend to put a significant weight on the aero bar arm rests. To illustrate, I used to be on a cervelo p3 and the arm rests would break (multiple screws would snap). I am currently on a p5 and everything works fine, but theres a lot more support in the cockpit on the p5. I dont want to invest in the bike if it will require multiple iterations or aftermarket fixes.

Thanks in advance.

the bolts on the 3t aura (what was probably on your p3) snapped for evvvverybody. whether they weighed 100 lbs or 250lbs.

it's the same design as a seatpost (the riser wedge) and the arm pad bolts are sturdy and not awkwardly torqued when you are sitting in them (on the new bikes).
