boycott Italy
3 out of 4 members of the Italian olympic committee have voted for London. Actually 2 for London, one for NYC which was reported to London on the last 2 votes.

Therefore, I have decided to boycott italian products. I will never buy a Ferrari, Lamborghini or Mazeratti.

From what I hear, you don't have to worry about boycotting Italian bicycle products, as supposedly they are made in Taiwan...

This thread sounds more like French whine and Italian cheese.

Before the spelling police attack, the aitch in whine above was intentional. I am trying to be punny.

Why didnt they pick Lisbon? First the Americas Cup and now the Olympics. You probably dont want all the drama, financial burden and headaches associated with such an event.

Tonight I'll throw my campy equipped bike in the river Rhône and shall not eat pastas anymore. I shall not even keep my selle italia turbomatic.

Oh wait, I should have got rid of my Litespeed-on- Rolf prima wheels-and thomson-seat post years ago when the US decided to eat freedom fries ;-).

Gosh, I have no willpower... another French whiner. OK I surrender, and I'll keep my bike (mind you, it's got Frenchtastic Michelin Pros on it).

Why boycott Italy? The only reason they didn't vote for Paris is because, as we all know, the French are cheese eating surrender monkeys whose biggest cash crop is an EU farm subsidy. If anything you should boycott France until they stop sucking! That won't be a problem for you, right? :)
