DIY endurance fuel with WM and BCAA

I'd like to try and make my own DIY endurance fuel for my 2-4hr workouts. Right now I've used both Hammer perpetuem and Gen UCAN (too expensive).

Looking at using waxy maize for slow GI carbs similar to GenUCAN, and adding BCAA in a 5:1 ratio, similar to Perpetuem.

My question is, what brand of WM to buy? I've heard there can be a lot if variability in the GI between brands. Looking to keep insulin levels low, with the protein to prevent muscle catabolism.

Would just keep taking 2-4 endurolytes an hour for electrolyte replentishment (does not mix well). Or is there a good option to also add that to the mix?

Saltstick caps dissolve alright in a custom brew (I make my own too with dext, maltodex and salt caps)
