Zwift Help? Total newb
I've got a PowerTap wheel + Macbook Pro + Ant+ Dongle.
Macbook is about 7 years old. Runs pretty good and wifi is good/not great.

Today I tried using Zwift for the first time and my power kept cutting out. Any recommendations or this is common for this type of setup?

You can try using a usb cable to get the dongle closer to the hub. This helps me with dropouts from a Stages crank when I use Ant+.

I had the same set up only with windows lap top and would occasionally have the power drop out on me as well. I finally figured out that it only happened when I was streaming other WiFi or Bluetooth devices near my computer while I was training, so if you have a bunch of other stuff running in the same room with you like web based TV or PlayStation try moving them farther away from your computer setup. If that is not an option buy an ant + cable extender and that should take care of the problem Best Buy sells them pretty cheap.

Cool-- will try the longer cable to see if that helps. Thanks!

same happened to me last week too. I was getting pissed at my QUARQ, changed the battery (twice!) until I realized that the dongle was too far from the computer. interestingly, a short blitz of power would reconnect it.

doing 1min intervals, then power drop (and timer stop), praying it would come back ASAP still holding power. It was a good workout. upsetting, but weary LOL

+1 worked for me. I feel like it has also improved responsiveness to power changes in real time, probably due to some adaption in transmission protocol when the power requirement is reduced. I use a long cable taped to the floor which places my USB dongle within about a foot of both the crankset (Quarq) and the smart trainer.

Hello

anybody used Zwift, or Trainer Road, with PowerTap P1s (single side PM) ?

The idea is to use this on a roller, connected to iPhone 5s and/or McBook Air (bluetooth).

Zwift support mention they support Powertap C1 pedal, but I guess it is a typo (C1 instead of P1) ?
And not mention P1s...
