Zipp Hub Question
Just pulled out my 2013 Zipp 808 rear wheel from my closet (haven't used it since getting a disc) and noticed something on my hub that I didn't notice before. In the pictures below, is there supposed to be a hub cover on the outside of the hub before the freehub? It just looks weird but after looking at the following document (http://www.zipp.com/...3-ZIPP-SPC-Rev-A.pdf), it looks as if this is normal. I just thought there would be some kind of cover on there.

(first photo has the 10 speed spacer on it)

Can anyone confirm this for me?

Looked strange to me too after getting my first zipp set but it's normal I was assured also.

Yes that is normal. The retaining ring that appears as though it is holding spokes into their slots is structural to the hub (and retains the spokes) and is the only "cover" on the drive side of the hub.
