Zipp Freehub Bodies
Have they changed at all or are there any compatability issues? I have a pair of 2004 404's with the Shimano body. If I bought a used pair that were Campy whether they be 2003s or 2005s is there any reason I couldn't take the freehub body from my wheels and put them on those? Are they all removable?

Yes, they are removable and interchangable. If you buy a campy cassette bodied Zipp, you can change it to Shimano. There were a few different hubs that they used with different pawl configurations (Edco, Westboro, and Josh's design). So know which style hub it is (they are pretty obvious on color, USA etched on it, etc. Zipp sells the cassette bodies. Hope this helps.

If you have a Z4 wheel, check with Zipp first. There is a special "press-in" hub body for a certain year (I think 2003) where you need to have Zipp do the change out. It is around $250 but worth it since they use the ceramic bearings.
