Zipp Disk and SRAM Red Cassette
I rented a Zipp 900 Disk (clincher). I took the SRAM Red cassette off my Mavic's that I use for training and went to put it on the Zipp Disk. There was a spacer between the SRAM Red Cassette Dome and the Mavic Hub. This same spacer will not fit on the Zipp disk because if I put it on, the last gear of the cassette will not lock into place. Does that sound right?

I run a red cassette and an Elite Disc (the same as a zipp 900) and I use no spacer on the disc, no spacer on 2 of my other wheelsets but a spacer if it is on my aksiums (sp). . interesting that it may be a hub size issue, because I use the spacer to achieve proper shifting and distance my deraileur from the spokes (I guess more of a dishing issue). just wanted to let you know I experience a similar thing.

The spacer is the shimano 10 speed spacer. The red cassette has the spacer built in. It isnt related to the hub on the disk.

Thanks, I appreciate it. Shifting seems ok.

I'm starting to get the pre-race jitters and becoming OCD about my gear. I'll be posting a question about how aero my tri top is next. LOL, that would be funny, "Critique My Tri Top Aero-ness".
