Zipp 404s Is this a good deal?
I have been looking for some race wheels and found a set of new 2004 Zipp 404's for $800 at local bike shop (includes Zipp scewers). For those that have researched this as well, is this a good price?

That seems like a fair price if the wheels are like new or really clean. I would always try to support a bike shop before going online.

Remember that they are not race wheels unless they are tubulars ;)

I just bought a front for $450 and thought that was a decent price.

Dont new 404s retail for $1350? Sounds like a smoking deal to me.

Seems like a fair price. I noticed on Ebay that Tom D/Bikesport sold a couple sets of New 404 clinchers for around $800 w/o skewers.

I know, I was just joking. I was trying to get the "clincher vs tubular" race wheel debate going on again.

Guess I was being a bit of a troll 8-(

Brand new in Box - I'd jump on that deal!!!
