Yet another fit thread
I'm trying to set my position. I used it on my first Ironman and found it not so comfortable. After some time I have elbow pain and found tennis elbow in left hand.
Also some pain appears in neck and shoulder blades area. Is that caused by to much weight on eblows? I know that proffesional fitting is best solutuin but I don't have any reputable fitter in 3 hour by car area.
Bike is size L Orbea Ordu, saddle is ISM PN3.1 set to 81cm, and I'm 186cm tall, 91 inseam.

I would try a shorter stem.

I think it looks pretty good.
Can you get a video at 90°?
Reach looks good to me but I like a little more than most. How does it look with ur helmet on?

You might be a little long in the cockpit.
Your elbow cups and pads themselves might be lacking in padding.
A bit of forearm tilt might help you relax.
You might just need to focus on relaxing and adapting. You look tense.

you're not too long... disregard what the others have said.

However, for that much reach, you need to have some pad tilt and ski bend extensions to push back and free up your shoulders from working.

I'd also slide your saddle forward 1cm and tilt it down a degree or two.

Not everyone favors long cockpits. Most do, just not all. If a rider is uncomfortable in the shoulders with a somewhat long reach, I don't think you should dismiss the possibility that narrower might help.

I would never tell anyone to dismiss what Eric says since he puts everyone on a Fizik Mystica and Zipp ski bends with an overly long cockpit.

Elbow cups are lack of padding, they are maybe 5mm thick.
By forearm tilt you meant setting hands a bit higher than now?
Yes, I feel that I'm tensed but it's hard to relax when I can't feel comfortable with my neck and elbows. Any sugestions how to train this?

I already have ski bend aerobars. They just maybe set wrong.

Where my elbows end should be placed - directyl on pads or shoud they stick out a little?
Saddle is moved as forward as it can be.

Tommorow I'll add video at better angle and with my helmet on.

This is how bike looked just before IM. Now I have different saddle and cocpit is 1cm higher.

Your elbow placement is fine. Elbows should be on the pad for max support. Where on the pad doesn't matter that much... depends on pads and the amount of reach your body prefers. I use the 51 Speedshop pads and I feel more locked in when my elbow is more towards the back of the pad.

There are different rise ski-bends, not sure how much rise yours have. Extension rise is measured in relation to the opposite tip not to the pad which is really what matters if you are looking to get higher hands. So, depending on the pads mounting hardware you might lose some of that effective rise or not.

I believe Zipp's ski bends are 110m. I really like the Zipp Evo 110s which have good rise but the ergonomics are better especially if you like to rotate the tips in and stack your hands.

To get higher hands, depending on clip-on setup you might also be able to point the extensions up if your bars allow you to move them independently.

Looks like your extensions clip on the base bar so you might be able to just point them up and get a little bit more tilt that way.

What's your CdA?

I've recorded new video. First 30 seconds are from warmup, later is shot with helmet on (LG Sprint) and last few seconds are from one of 2x8min tests - flat out.
I think I need to stick out my extensions by 2cm to provide better end grip because now when I place my elbows on pads my hands are almost entirely on shifters.

I've changed armrest pads to Profile Design Lux version. Visions pad on the left and new one on the right. Difference in comfort is huge. Elbow discomfort almost dissapeared during first ride.

I have also shordened stem from 110 to 90mm. And now how does it look like?

how does it feel?

me personally I would have rather you slid the saddle forward than moved the bars back, but that's just me. You look ok. Looking at the bike and the seatpost I don't see much more room for moving the saddle forward despite your not so steep seat angle.

Are you happy with that saddle?
