email went out on april 16th. they plan to run the race, but if it is cancelled you will be refunded 100% minus active fees (because active sucks, but that's a different story.) If you want a refund now, you have til april 30th to request it.

I'm betting it gets canceled relatively soon before they sink a bunch of money into it.

Don't get me wrong - I love Xterra races and think they do a great job, but I'm always left wondering how they make any money. Even the Pan-Am Championship in Utah is like a local mom and pop race compared to any Ironman event.
