You might have picked up one of our earlier batches...we went up in strength on the computer mount insert (where the Garmin snaps into) in order to support a wider range of wear types on Garmin units. Please email warranty@xlab-usa.com and we can get one of the stronger inserts out to you.

I would check the back of your Garmin unit in the meantime and make sure the backplate is in good condition and not completely worn down. If it is, there are a couple solutions that I have seen where you can make it like new vs buying a new computer and happy to help there.

The Garmin is brand new. My Edge 500 that was old fit just fine. I made it work for now but look forward to the new insert. Appreciate you reaching out.

Thanks for the info. Will have our engineers look at the backs of the 520 & 500 in more detail to see if we can see any variance that might be occurring on there. They should get back to you within a day.

Bumping this for awsome customer service from X-Lab. Emailed them about my issue on Friday and had the new part yesterday. The Garmin fits great now.
