Yea/ if you take a knife to the top, you gain some space. It's just such an in between amount of space.

Why do you not just a get a zippered jersey and put it in there. Are you planning on taking the phone on the bike leg during a race? if not just use a zippered jersey back pocket.

if you cut the fuel cell you might have your nutrition failing farther down inside and make it harder to grab during a race. Unless you use liquid nutrition.

Well I do stuff the phone in the jersey, when I am wearing one. I'm in south Florida and it's so hot that I'm sometimes going just no shirt depending on how long I'm going.
