Wildflower Camping Supplies
This is going to be my first time racing Wildflower, and first time camping before a race. My girlfriend and I will be flying into SFO on Thursday and driving down. For anyone who has done the race, what is something you didn't bring, but wish you did? Or something that you were really glad that you did end up packing? I'm trying to put together a list of supplies we'll need to pack or buy on our way to the race.

If you do the air mattress route, bring a thick tarp to lay underneath it. Ours got popped in the middle of the night from a thorn poking through the bottom of the tent. Waking up with a stiff back from a lumpy bed is not a good start to the day.

That’s a great list. I kept looking for things I wouldn’t use and not finding anything. Need a bigger car. 🤪

Im trying to enjoy myself. This is number 6 WF for me. Its fun to have everything and feel good after/before the race.

I would also add shower flip flops, a beanie, instant coffee, games and lots of booze.

When packing clothes keep in mind that it will be hot during the day, but can get a bit cold at night. Make sure you have something insulating between your sleeping bag and the ground.

This x100. Especially if you are anywhere need the volunteer section.

And shade. Beach umbrella, pop up, something. You’ll want shade and probably make friends who didn’t bring shade.

Those who show up Thursday will take all the spots with shade.

I agree, as long as there's plenty of icy cold Negro Modelo - FOR ME! I'll settle for that fancy grapefruity German stuff :-)

You camping, eh? I didn't say cramping :-|

I saw this on a white board in a window box at my daughters middle school...

There will probably be a little of both, if past history is indicative of future results. I will bring some Negro in addition to my beloved Stiegl Graperfruit Radler.
