I hope that you get your bike back, but fortunately you have enough bikes to not miss a workout.

How is your leg feeling for IMF?

This time we were lucky, even with a really complicated travel route including three airports before Lisbon, all of us got our bikes!!! :-)

I guess yours was kept to be showed at a circus...the smallest human bike!! LOL ;-)

Francois,

You should have put your bike in your purse and carried it on. ;-)

I think the Samsonite baggage-handling monkeys stole your bike and are taking turns riding it, since it's the first one they've seen that is their size.

You have the crappiest luck w/ the airlines... sorry dude.

I'm back..how depressing...bike arrived in Detroit which was a huge surprise. When I checked in at the Kona Airport, they said it would be on a 'standby' basis and if the bike didn't make it, it would be sent directly to my home in a couple of days...but it was there when I went to get my luggage...and in one piece!!

I got back last night at 10PM. My bike is supposed in Baldwin Park, CA, according to the UPS tracking. I had the bike shop send it since we had to buy a new bag to bring back all the shopping!

Did you buy beater bikes from Target to ride in Kona and ditched them before you left for home?

no, but I had friends who did! Seemed to be a great idea, but considering the location clm and I had it wasn't really necessary as our condo was located right in town!

To ride in the race? That doesn't sound like a very good idea... :)

Seriously dude, you need to drive to Florida. I think the airlines are conspiring against you.

Let the record show that Francois is not short. I met him on the beach at Kona, and he was as tall as I am (over 5-10").

This post made at the request of Francois.
