Saw the video and I couldn’t make out who was riding infront of Kienle. Anyone spot the rider?

Sour grapes? It ruined Kienle’s race, who was in second place at the
time. I’d be sour too, whether it was inadvertent or not, blocking is the biggest uncalled rules violation on the
bike.

It was horrible out there. Coming down at 40+mph there was a group 4 wide sitting up just talking, tried to brake but once my rear tire came off the ground I had to release and go HARD right to not kill myself. I was super pissed. It was a very common occurrence today.

I think you need to redo your math there.

If from him I would not expect it to be an intentional move.

How many minutes was the penalty?

He said 5 minutes but closer to 6 with slowing for the tent then speeding back up after penalty. He also mentioned the mental part of it that affected him. He lost a little time arguing with the ref as well if you watch one of the videos.

The penalty occurred as SK passed a fading EL to move into third place, with RVB up the road. SK was legally slotted behind Hoffman when the moto waved the card.

Edit: to account for RVB

The dirty little secret about pro penalities is the tent you land in is never ready. These are volunteers (usually) and there first go around and usually are not prepared to start the watch as soon as the athlete is stopped with both feet on the ground. As the day moves on they get better and better at getting athletes out in close to 5 minutes, but the first pro in a tent usually gets hosed. Almost always closer to six minutes. With everything in life, practice makes perfect.

How much did Kienle lose if he had won the race?

Was a BS call honestly.
