Which tire tends to flat more.. front or rear?

Also, if you see something in the road, you steer your front wheel around it, but the rear tends to hit it anyway

From recent experience - I would say a toss up. But we don't get a lot of flats. I just wrote a blog about this - Always Ride On Great Rubber. Please check it out at the link below if interested!

However - over time, I would say it's got to be the rear!

It's the rear. I read where the front tire will often run over a hazard lying flat and flip it up for the back tire to run over. Makes sense.

Never flatted a front tire, always rear. A bit more of a pain to change, but I think preferable in the long run. Don't know if handling is dicey at high speed when a front goes as it's never happened, but prefer not to find out. I would think pinch flats are one of the reasons it tends to be the back - more weight back there.
