I get to test drive the new Voler Skinsuit and two piece suit this season.
so far the new Voler Tri gear is very comfortable [club sponsor plug] -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'll be wearing the new Prada line skin suit with royal blue bottom and dark brown top. As for the shoes: Asics DL 7 trainers with those hideous orange glitter stripes and black Yankz laces. I'll top it off with a blue Pearl Izumi running hat from the '00 collection, a red LG T-Bone helmet, silver Briko Lucifer sunglasses and yellow and silver Carnac 7's during the biking portion. If you read this far, I hope not. Aren't we silly?
I agree about the DeSoto stuff. I really like it too. I just wish they would make the suits in some plain solid colors. Not that looks really matter, but the new stuff is pretty ugmo.
How about a solid black, Emilio? ============= Adam Duncan New York, NY
i just bought the new LG tri suit. Haven't raced it yet, so I can't comment on the performance. Feels good on, though. ============= Adam Duncan New York, NY
I have been using the Sugoi skinsuit and two piece uniforms since last year and really like them. Sugoi made several changes in the designs in the first season based on our club's input. We went to them so that we could have fully sublimated uniforms.
I raced in a Sugoi skinsuit last year as well as DeSoto power shorts with Sugoi top. I don't care for the Sugoi stuff as much as DeSoto. The material doesn't feel as 'slick' to me and the muscle compression doesn't seem as strong. I can't recall exactly, but I think the Sugoi suit I have doesn't have rubber leg grippers either. ============= Adam Duncan New York, NY
speedo (trade mark) swim briefs with a tight mesh tank top cut just below my pecs to show my washboard abs. customerjon @gmail.com is where information happens.
De Soto is as good as it gets & with great customer service ......however...... I've just signed a contract with L.G. for my teams Tri Kit. Samples look great, price is good and I'll let you know how good a job their artwork team does with my design. M

Yep, I have the Orca Elite one piece. I like it and use it for short races ( sprint + oly). My personal preference is two piece for the longer races in case I need a pitstop.
Gotta agree that the new Voler skinsuits are pretty comfy. I raced in the DeSoto last year, and it was pretty good, but the pad in the Voler is much more comfortable for longer rides IMHO. I've only done one brick in the new Voler suit, basically to make sure that it didn't have some wierd seam somewhere that chafed, but it feels good. I just wish Voler would cut the legs a little longer, ala DeSoto.
I was kidding. Brown and blue were their colors a few years back. I think I drank too much coffee while posting that one at work surrounded by people dressed in, ahem, Prada. I'm a Banana Republic and DKNY casual office working stiff.
PS it is funny how label-conscious the whole tri-scene is sn't it? Substitute some of the labels on the tri-suits with high end fashion designer names and you've got something right out of the pages of GQ. A hyper-consumer sport if ever there was one. You gotta laugh about it, or something.
