What latex tube for 28c conti 5000?
Want to mount up my 5000 28c tire with latex tubes. Does any manufacturer make tubes with 60mm pv stems? Seems like 48mm or 51mm. Running a stem extension seem weak... thanks for any experience with this

I vote Silca first and Vitoria second. Vitoria makes the tubes for Silca. I prefer Silca’s shorter valves if I am going to run extensions anyway. Plus, I think the formula for Silca is a little different from the Vitoria.

Why do you think the latex in the Silca and Vittoria tubes is different?

Because @joshatsilca said it was different in posts here. But, I cannot remember if Vittoria adopted Silca's change to their core product.

I believe that Silca and Vittoria both use latex with a bit of graphene.

If Vittoria changed their formula to match Silca's mods, then the only difference would be the shorter and lighter aluminum stems.

Nashbar has the silca tube with extender and foil thingy as a kit for $22 and $5 off for over 25 dollars spent. So $41 for two shipped. Ebay has vitoria for $12 for tubes each. I think I'll get the silca with extender kit.

Latex tubes make a measurable difference and for the £€$ is maybe the best cash to speed upgrade you can buy.
The problem is no one can see them when you ride.
