What compression shorts do you like?

I want to pick up some compression shorts to run in. I hate wearing traditional run shorts in the middle of summer. After a few miles they're soaked and sticking to my legs and I just don't like how it feels! I'll run in tri shorts sometimes but I'd like something without a chamois.

What are some good compression shorts to run in? (nothing on top of them) Would like to not break the bank also.

I run exclusively in compression-type shorts and have been for something like 25 years. I just ordered a pair of these to replace my aging wardrobe, and they are pretty good. After giving the first pair a trial, I ordered a few more pairs to replace all of my old shorts.

Those look nice but they also look like underwear and like they are meant to be worn under something else

I have great success running in CW-X compression running shorts though I use them to reduce the risk of hamstring strains. (It would be helpful if my fantasy baseball and football players did the same thing). They are not cheap so they may be more than what you need. One downside is that the inside pocket is very small. (Big enough for my car key, but too small for a hotel room key).

Nike makes a few different versions of 2-in-1 running shorts, which are basically compression shorts underneath a running short. I've had pretty good success with those.

I wear these shorts from CW-X. They also make a similar pair with mesh on the front part of the leg for better cooling in hot weather.

I have worn CW-X, be sure to wear underwear as they have a seam in the middle that will tear you up if you don't.

Yes! Definitely wear briefs with the CW-X shorts. I even make sure that the briefs at least as high as the band which can also chafe the waistline.

I have a pair of the CW-X that I wear without briefs, but I prefer running in my tri shorts.
