Look, I think you're taking this way to personally and way too far. Yes, I can certainly understand that you feel a little betrayed that Cervelo didn't consult with you before using your correspondence and name in their lawsuit. However, I don't feel that they are under any legal or ethical obligation to do so. Should Cervelo have filed the lawsuit? I don't know, and I think it's irrelevent. They have every right to do so, and every right to include your emails as part of it. If Guru does suffer any damages in this whole thing it's because they did something stupid and Cervelo called them on it. It has nothing to do with you.

The fact that you've apparently tried to use this situation to somehow benefit personally speaks volumes. You were not legally wronged. Your feelings were hurt. Now you're trying to squeeze a free bike out of it?? What's your real motivation here?

I think it might have been a nice gesture for Cervelo to ask your permission or inform you that they intended to use your name/email in this suit. But what would it matter? Do you think it would have made a difference if you said "no"?? That you could have stopped the whole suit? You're in no position to tell them how they can use information that was given to them freely and openly. Get over it.

"Say Cervelo wins this lawsuit, bankrupts Guru, all because of my emails. That would be hard for me"

...but a new bike would make it much easier. It seems that everyone involved in this is just out to get something. Whatever happened to "two wrongs don't make a right"?

......but everything would be fine if Cervelo gave you a new R2.5 with Team kit???

What *you* should do is stay off the internet and stop making an ass out of yourself.

Le't see... you solicit a comparison of Cervelo products vs Guru products from Guru. Did you honestly expect Guru to compliment their competition? You then pass this information along to Cervelo. Did you honestly expect Gerard to not do something with this?

You say you were totally surprised by this and do not intend to harm Guru, yet any reasonable person could/should have seen this coming a mile away. I guess I'm confused here? What sort of information did you think you were going to get from Guru? What did you think Gerard was going to do with it, if not take action against Guru?

Folks, how about some accountability for our own actions here?!

no! not a chance in heck. see i stumbled on to a great idea. i am the working poor and all these giant bike companies have priced me out of a product i deserve to have. my own actions don't matter.

both sides of this are making me cranky. but i'm not the biggest jack ass on the site right now so i say let the bitching an petty feelings continue!

You are lucky Guru hasn't sued you for divulging private communications to a competitor and harming their business. If you are going to voluntarily do pro bono industrial espionage don't get bent with the compensation you receive and complain about it being used it court. Know the market before you consumate a deal, otherwise shut up and get over it.

Yes, it's obvious from reading customerjon's previous correspondence that he is indeed a socialist. Start calling him "Red" customerjon.

By the way, I'm "slowguy", not "Slowman". I bring this to everyone's attention because, chances are Slowman has some idea of what he's talking about, whereas I am mostly talking out of my butt.
