Last 15 years I have only done three things on Kona day:
What is everyone doing this year? Endless Kona reruns while on the trainer? One of my friends who qualified is doing a 4km run-180km bike-42.2km run since she can't get to a pool on Saturday.
So I guess I need to figure out if there is a workout option that I should go for, since options 1 to 3 are not on this year :-(. Motivation is in the tank for biking and running recently too, so maybe a 2x3800m swim, 18km bike and 4.2km run :-) But looks like we have a no rain morning, so I should get off ST and on the bike and pretend like it is the QueenK. But it sure would be more fun standing at an aid station on the top of Palani waiting for Macca to attack Ralaert on the way down!
- Sit on a computer from noon EST to midnight on the live coverage (plus banter on ST)
- Volunteered onsite (that's actually the most fun of all options)
- actually be one of the people racing (most rewarding, probably least fun)
