I'm actually talking about comic books... graphic novels... superheroes or supervillans... monsters... the loners and dispossessed... the crimefighters... etc. That's who what comics these people are interested in.

• My wife (gf at the time) and I used to talk about Physics on a lot of our dates (with paper and pencil involved).
• When I have an idea, usually the first thing that comes to mind is how I can prototype it with software.
• Whenever any electronic device breaks in my house my kids and I sit down and dissect it.
• I love working with EEs that have beards and wear Birkenstocks
• I would rather call my office a lab
• I have a preference between Microfilm and MicroFiche
• I use CamelCase when it is not necessary and/or inappropriate

yes, 100% sense and I agree! wine snobs are the ones that insist on taking their own glasses (stems) to nice restaurants, and say doing so is a "no-brainer". snobs tend to say, "opus one, blah, blah, blah" and it's all about touting off what they spend and what they have collected (no matter, they might not even know shit about the wine, but by God they have it and want the whole world to know).

geeks, on the other hand, certainly drink good wine, but they can also tell you everything about soil conditions where the grapes were grown, harvesting, cost of fruit in regions, differences between varietals in different regions of the world, and can identify wines by winery/or varietal/or region even in blind tastings. ;)

it is not uncommon for me to have several bottles of wine on my desk, so i can research the wine while/before/or after drinking it. lol--now that's geeky!!!

In school, evolutionary bio is fascinating, especially with relations to explaining bio-socio patterns.

TV, I love Seinfeld, Family Guy, Lost, King of Queens, Everybody loves Raymond, Simpsons, House MD, Megastructures, and especially GREY'S ANATOMY.

While not here on ST, mixed martial arts and long travel suspension for dezert trucks websites.

I'm very into the john bridge tile forums right now. Tiling is an interesting thing.
