Wetsuit-Is this fixable?
Hello all. My Roka wetsuit developed these 2 underarm tears. As you can see, one is pretty bad and the neoprene has pulled away from the jersey, but the jersey itself is still largely intact. On the other, the tear is much smaller and there is no separation, but it actually goes through the neoprene and the jersey.

So is this fixable or am I better off just throwing it away and getting a new one? If fixable, any recommendations?

Just to be clear, I am not blaming Roka for this or saying there is anything wrong with their product. I have had this suit for a few years and really like it and figure this is my fault, I am just trying to find out if this is something I can have fixed or not. My Googling yesterday turned up mixed advice about whether this would be repairable or not so I thought I would crowd-source some advice.

I'd check with Roka, as they are the best source for repairing advice or if possible. Any good manufacturer should be able to shed some light on their own products.

For the record, Roka didn't have much to say. The Roka representative thinks it might be fixable with a patch but also said it would make it thicker and might be uncomfortable given the location.

Wow, that sounds like very little help. Sad they can't or won't do more. They seem more focused on sunglasses than anything else any more.

Hello:
This is definitely fixable. Photo #3, they can cut out the damaged area and replace with a "patch" of neoprene, glued and blindstitched in.
Smaller one may be able to be glued and sealed, or a patch.
Lisa Hetman and her staff at Swell Stuff (http://www.swell-stuff.com/) here in Leucadia (Encinitas) do an excellent job.

I have also heard great things about Blown Out wetsuits in Santa Cruz.
