The Coronavirus Run is a fundraising event to benefit the CDC's Coronavirus emergency response fund.
We are coming together to give hope to the individuals and families impacted by the virus, and to provide support to the medical institutions on the front lines. With so many charity events, races, and run/walks cancelled, we would like to invite the greater community to join us in helping to provide relief for CONVID-19.
On Friday, May 1st we will be heading outside for a 1 hour run or walk to benefit the CDC's Coronavirus emergency response fund. With your participation, we will be directly helping communities prevent, detect and respond to COVID-19. The funding will be used to deploy emergency staffing, to deliver critical food and medical needs to quarantined individuals, and to build capacity and infrastructure for response efforts.
How to participate:
***While most state's "Stay-at-Home" mandates specifically allow for 1 hour of outdoor exercise per day, it is extremely important that all participants follow the laws of their local authorities. By registering and participating in this event, you agree to follow the laws of your local municipalities and that you fully understand the risks of going outside. The registrant is therefore fully responsible for their health in signing up and participating.
Here are some general guidelines for exercising outside during Coronavirus;
Overall, be sure to check your local public health recommendations and the current health mandates in your area, found on your state and local government website before heading outside for a solo workout.
