I used to do triathlons years ago and thinking of signing up for one this spring. I live in Ojai, Ca and wondering best website to find an upcoming triathlons nearby? Also, which one you would recommend as a beginning triathlon to get back into the sport. Thank you!

Hit up Hypercat in Ventura, Phil and Rachel should know best what's around. Not much up our way other than the usual marathons and centuries.
Lots to choose from, although spring is pretty sparse. Most are summer into fall.

UC Santa Barbara is hosting a sprint race in March called Kendra's Race
I did Breath of Life last May in Ventura and it was super fun. Straight forward swim, lapped bike, and out and back run. Great atmosphere and well run.

I second the Breath of Life race. Sprint and Olympic available, well ran and easy no frills type course. If you want to PR it is a great super flat course
Bakersfield tri in October. Bunch of trips in bonelli park. Some at lake Pettis as well (big rock?)
