Unsolicited testimonial...
...and overall hint for the general population. I got this today, from one of the athletes I coach:

"I was this | | close to get out of the pool today in the middle of practice because I felt like such ass-monkey, but I told myself HTFU and had a great remaining workout (5000m), Thanks!" AWESOME!

I see a "JUST HTFU" wristband coming in the near future.

Will they let you stay in the pool if you are wearing the wristband?

Really? Between Jodi and Paulo I see a bunch of STers in an IM snapping themselves in the wrist with a rubber band throughout the marathon. Maybe the rubberband says HTFU on it. :-)

wow. that's a great idea, seriously. What about small bike decals, coffee mugs, jerserys? I'd buy a HTFU team kit.

From the reminderband.com site:

"I am a swimmer and I purchase reminder bands at a swim meet. I really like it. It's PINK! It reminds me how much I love to swim"

Apparently, pink is the color for pool weenies trying to reform. And they make 'glow-in-the-dark' ones for people still finishing their IM in the dark....

And Coach Paulo would definitely NOT approve of wearing a bracelet in the pool. Totally ruins the aerodynamics (or is that, waterdynamics). Oh the horror!

The HTFU bracelets can't be pink. I'm thinking Rainbow would be better. Then you can really say, HTFU, Princess!

Well, if they're going to be rainbow, then I think you'd really be saying,

"HTFU, Printhethsss, and 3 snaps in a Z formation!" ;-)

Waah Waah...I'm tired so I'm going to snap myself with an elastic? What would Chopper say to that? Team HTFU should run with a ball peen hammer and self-administer head knocks at the first sign of weakness.

The prototype rolled out of the driveway for 80 miles at 6:00 on Sunday morning. I took my Saturday rubber band and wrote the acronym on it with a Bic pen. Very cosmopolitan.

It didn’t get snapped until mile 2 of the brick run. It worked.

But KDW does have a point…..

Jodi,
It might work that way the first few times, but eventually you would HTFU and as soon as you even started thinking
about being a wuss you would get a splitting headache...
