UCI Women's Race Distances
It seems to be a bit of a joke to me that women like PNF and Heather Fuhr can put the boots to many pro men at the Ironman distance, yet in cycling, the women consistently ride way less distance than the men. For example, look at the distances at Fleche Wallone today, or even shorter events like the ITT at World's or Cross Country MTB World Cups. Even speedskating has lame distances for the women at the longer events. What's with that ? These sports need to quite patronizing their elite women's field and give them the opportunity to race the same distace as men. After all, the longer it gets, the faster the top women go.

Any thoughts from this forum ? I am sure that slowman would have some valuable insight, since the first QR bikes were being designed specifically for women. Now it is time for the UCI to get its act in gear too :-)
