No he was not racing.
One of my cycling teammates fly out do do the Boulder Stage Race this last weekend. During the 9mi hillclimb race he saw people ahead of him getting pushes up a very steep section of the (dirt) climb (+16%). He was a little bummed when he got to the end of the line of people on the hilll and did not get a push like his competetors. Low and behold a guy steps out and gives him a good push. Tyler Hamilton. He was there with his wife cheering on all the racers. He lives up near there I guess.
