Tubular Spares
This past weekend I raced the Timberman triathlon in NH (great race by the way). Lori Bowden and Peter Reid were there to compete. While I am sure that we are all impressed with the pros in one way or another I was most impressed by the fact that both Lori and Peter were able to roll up not one but two tubular spare tires so tightly that they were able to put them both under the saddle. Personally I have never been able to get my spare tubulars that small and for obvious reason would love to be able to have my spare tires set up like they did. Any ideas how they might have gotten them that small? And by that small I mean they were not any bigger then a clincher tube when you buy it new.

Thanks in advance for the help,

Neal Dunn

Not sure how they do theirs but try folding the tire twice so that it is one third of the original length and then fold it in half in the other dimension (this is really hard to explain!!!!)....use insulatio tape to compress as required...this is as small as i can get mine...
