Triathlon Fitness literally saved my life- MTB Crash

Hi Everyone,

June 1st, 2019 I was involved in a horrific mountainbike crash. This left me with a severely broken neck, 16 screws and two titanium rods holding my neck and upper back together. Every single doctor has said the same two things "miracle" and "Your fitness is the likely factor in you being alive today".

Prior to the last few years, I was heavy into tri's. Then drifted to surfing and marathons/trailrunning. I kept the fitness up there. If anybody is wondering if the fitness effort is worth it, take it from me, it is. It literally saved my life. I decided to record what happened and my recovery along the way. I drew from tri training so much that it has been the difference maker in my recovery. Yesterday I rode 56 on a townie cruiser bike (36lbs and total grind), the tri goal of '56' pushed me.
