What I do when I can't find a bike bolt size in a spec, is start with a bike bottle cage bolt. You know that is an M5 and then go bigger or smaller from there. So the bolt I needed for a Sram shifter was bigger. Tried the next bigger one I had, it was the perfect width. Measured it to confirm it was an M6 (google the specs). That bolt was way too long so then you put a nut on it and spin it down to the length you need and measure that. Then just work out what head is on it (google 'bolt head types'), it was counter sunk. So the one I needed was an M6 14mm counter sunk, worked a treat.
