Washed up footy player turned Triathlete.

They did a fabulous job for a first year race. I'm in for another year.

I was sitting on the fence about doing it again...it was my first, and I kinda wanted to check out another venue for the next one.

That said, I got the early email and T1 pricing, so the cheapskate in me went for it.

Next year, instead of the 11-23 cassette I use on the local (flat) Sprints and Olympics, I'll be prepared for the bike, lol.

Other than that hiccup, however, it was a great race, great volunteers and spectators, and great venue. The swim was almost perfect, the run wasn't too bad, just crowded, and the bike was challenging but not bad if prepared for it.

Did anyone get the early registration link for Tri Clubs?

Yes, I got my TriClub priority registration link this morning.

"Priority Registration will be open until Monday, September 30th at 11:59 pm ET before general registration opens to all other athletes on October 1st."

I never get my priority registration emails anymore

Anyone know how to fix this?

TC is the only ironman event I've done so far. It was fantastic, but with how fast this thing is selling out for a second year, are other 70.3s in the midwest that boring? I might do Caseville or Grand Rapids next year to keep costs down.

I'm not sure, but everyone who I know say TC is an amazing town, so probably combination a great race + great vacation
