I was speaking with my old coach about a getting back with him for a run plan. I told him my swim was good and bike was getting stronger from using the TrainerRoad Build plan (have already done base and workouts on my own). He asked about my race schedule and I told him my true A race is IMNC 70.3 in Oct but want to compete for the top spots in my AG with races beginning in early April. He suggested waiting to do higher intensity workouts in March and keep everything low intensity right now. My idea was to build, build build right into my first race (which is only a sprint). Right now, my FTP is 223 on my tri bike in an upright position. After this build phase ends in mid Jan, I plan on retesting my FTP in my aerobars and going back to a base phase for a few weeks and then build from there. His main concern was getting burnt out or a possible injury. I just have a hard time getting on my bike and just riding. I need to have a goal. In March, I plan adding some Zwift races and some outdoor TT sessions.
