Topeak isnt open until monday, so figured i'd throw this out here:
had an air leak somewhere in the system so removed the head, hose junction into pump body and the fitting at the base, which houses the check valve. cleaned all threads/mating surfaces and re-assembled, i'm now back to a closed system and can inflate tires again,
but the plunger is suddenly super stiff and i can't make sense of it. any ideas? this is a joeblow - pro floor pump.
ps -i now understand what the check valve does after accidentally omitting it and attaching the head to an already inflated tire while hovering over the pump. wtf.:(
