Looking at the result from 70.3 Cozumel. Top 10 guys were all sub 4. Is that the new norm? Seems like just a few years ago I was blown away that anyone could finish sub 4.

Looked like a short swim from some of the Strava files? But it seems like most winning times are typically sub-3:50 anymore
When guys are doing a 2hr bike and sub-1:20 run, it's pretty easy to hit sub-4. Seems like pro fields are getting deeper than they have historically been. Lots of people entering the elite fields. But the discrepancy between the upper tier and lower tier of the elite field is vast

Fairly certain the swim was short and aside from the heat, it's a fast course. The midfield here was decently deep as well with the lack of races going on. But looking back at results from the flat races I've done, the sub-4 cutoff is usually right around the top 10 for relatively flat courses.
