I think Tom did post here that he road raced in Europe at the amateur event level. Seems he had a bad crash over there during one race if I remember right.

Oh, this is hugely hilarious! This is an auction by my buddy and our Felt bicycles rep Dave Koesel. Everybody here at the store pokes fun at me becasue of my incredibly laughable "euro-pro" cycling expereince. I rode for a dinky little amateur team and got my butt kicked for about 2 months in Europe then came home with my tail between my legs and a big cast on my arm (and a broken tail bone and concussion)following a bad crash on a descent in France. It was quite a learning experience. This is hilarious. But yeah, I do have these brake levers on my cyclocross bike- even won a race with them. A "B" race for 40 + has-beens! The older I get, the better I was.
