I don't understand why one would buy a shadow but NOT get the shadow-R. The "R" is everything that is innovative about that bike.

I bet it is a bear traveling with the Type R fork. You can remove the front wheel, but still have that fork blade sticking out. Unless you remove the fork,

salmon - not because I'm a fish

I hadn't considered travelling with it... even if you do remove the fork seems like you'd need an extra wide bag to fit it in somewhere.

I'll update everyone in a week when I get my bag, but my bike is now built and is ridiculously awesome, emphasis on the ridiculous. What I've been told is that with Ceepo's custom bag you only have to remove the rear wheel (and I assume pop off the bars. It makes sense since there is no size advantage to taking off the front fork. Could end up being very easy to travel with but I'm pretty sure it is a soft bag so there is the trade off there. I'll definitely be posting a video review of the bike once I get some miles on it and the bag once it comes in!

Bikes like this create buzz, but other than the eyeball aero test, how do we know we are buying any speed with this? These brands should invest in some comparative data. Tell me why I should buy this over a Cervelo, Trek, Felt, Specialized, etc.

I am not telling you to buy this. I simply share images from it. It is Ceepo’s job to sell it to you.

So don’t shoot the messenger :-)

No offense was intended, Herbert. I Simply meant that when you see a cool new bike this, you have to pause and ask yourself if it is faster than what you have. Because of the cost of aero testing, we never get some kind of objective analysis.

Yeah, I clicked it but it didn’t work at least for me. Anyways, just looks like a lot of drop to pads. But then brakes are essentially no further down. So at least he doesn’t need to reach further down to grab the brakes.
