The Importance of Bike Fit!
The importance of equipment cannot be ignored when browsing Slowtwitch forum. The only other thing that has more importance, and is usually found at the bottom of each bike post, is fit. Mr. Empfield and Mr. Demerly always insist on the fit of the individual to the bike rather than the bike alone. That being said, I think that it's important to generate some discussion on rules of thumb and perhaps detail on improving and judging fit. There is a ton of information out there on how an individual should fit him/herself to a bike. But when looking to invest in a new bike, as many of the threads generated here are, the resources of Bikesportmichigan or a certified F.I.S.T. specialist can be scarce. If described on here, what literature should one look at when analyzing a particular frame geometry and frame size and applying it to his/her own body measurements/experience/desired position? Am I asking too much?

Thanks,

Daniel
