I know. I know. I've just embarrassed myself in front of the entire ST community several times over. I guess I have time to go for a run and try to swallow some humble pie during and thereafter. Cheers.

I'm going to be following this little know competitor called "Jordon Rapp", doubt you've heard of him. He did pretty well last year and some random internet forum will be all cheering for him to do better this year ;)

Herbert, I'm going to be following in particular, our marque male triathlete Crowie and long time fi'zi:k loyalist and uber biker Belinda Granger (among other fi'zi:k athletes!). I guess the big question for Crowie is will a 20K run provide enough time to make up for any bike deficit. Granger should be able to really giv'er on the bike today with just 20K to go on the run. Just received a live Skype message from Belinda who is gearing and wrote, "It's is going to be a huge day in the saddle today Suzette! xxx."

Call me nutz Granpa, but don't you think Macca could surprise? I mean, it's essentially a big long bike race w/ a semi short run (comparatively speaking). He's lookin' bronzed and I don't think that's fully the result of lounging at the beach. That said, Ned Overend suggested today that Rasmus could be the guy to beat.

he could, he could. i just wanted to stir the pot a little. rasmus certainly is the favorite, and to his luck, he wont have to take off a wetsuit in T1...cuz it's a non-wetsuit swim!

So did the race start 10 minutes ago or what?? Maybe coming close to the 1st lap swim times?? Any word on the weather and winds at race start?? And is Bjorn really riding a Cheetah, and what happened to his Cervelo contract?? Is Macca and Crowie fit, or just picking up some nice start money? Will Rasmus be able to ride well enough in the wind to limit his losses enough to make it up on the run? So many questions, can't wait for the answers.

It would appear that the "Premier Timing" site billing itself as "The world's leading timing technology for active sports events" may not be a world leader at web development or QA as I'm getting this displayed when I follow the link you've posted:

Unable to select database
We were able to connect to the MySQL database server (which means your username and password are okay) but not able to select the database.
The MySQL error was: Too many connections.
Currently, the database is CCHWeb. The username is CCHWeb and the database server is mysql51.
  • Are you sure you have the correct database name?
  • Are you sure the database exists?
  • Are you sure the username has permission to access the database?

For more help, see the Installation and upgrading handbook. If you are unsure what these terms mean you should probably contact your hosting provider.

Edit: seems to be better now but can't see any results... has the race started?
