TT frames with Disc Brakes
What Tri/TT bikes are available with disc brakes? And do they allow alternative cockpits?

Current list as a google sheet.
(GrĂ cies cyclenutnz.)

Can you provide more information?
i.e.
* more frame models
* cockpit information: proprietary or not
* comments on manufacturing build quality, aerodynamics, value, etc.

What are you referring to with the ‘quality’ tab?

For Cervelo, you have to separate out the PX’s and P5 disc (which have manufacturer cockpits) with the P-series which can use any cockpit.

For Quintana Roo. The PR4-5 you can use any cockpit. But the PR6 I believe you have to use the supplied stem so you are limited as to what cockpits you can put on there

Your list also needs the Specialized Shiv Tri and Shiv TT (two distinct bikes), BMC time machine, Felt IA, Wilier Turbine. Probably some more but that’s what I can think off off the top of my head

Carbon layup.
Overly large tolerances.
Anything else you'd consider as affecting the quality of build, maintenance, long-term ownership, etc.

why are cervelo's frame quality "suspect"? what do you have to back up such a claim?

Ceepo Shadow and Shadow-R

Both able to accept any cockpit but most often spec'd with the Vision Metron TFA. Lots of good performances on the standard forked Shadow but not a whole lot of wind tunnel information out there.

I've been told that some tolerances have been increased to a degree that various manufacturers won't warranty their parts on Cervélo bikes.

And why is Pinarello "superior?"

Teen told by whom? What tolerances? What manufacturers? Can you point to a written warranty contract that specifically voids the contract for Cervelo frames?

That's one reason that I'm attempting to verify it. One, overly dramatic, source doesn't cut it.

Then perhaps we can get back on point and stick to Tri/TT frames for/with disc brakes, and the cockpit possibilities.

Don't conflate expensive and superior, much as Pinarello and Specialized would like you to.

It was easier to put your table into a google sheet

Agreed. ...Although I'd be more apt to conflate the former than the latter. But yeah, I gather info, listen to opinions, put it back out there for feedback, and so on. I appreciate your input!
