TO vs. Lionel this weekend
I would say Lionel is favored usually in the 70.3 distance over TO, but with TO's form in Kona, I think I give the edge to TO in this race.

Rinny on the women's side with Paula Findlay and Angela Naeth towing the line. A late season race to get excited about!!

Angela Naeth was DNF at Waco last Sunday. I don’t know what happened to her. I would say LS should be in better shape by now so I think LS will win.

I’m curious about that as well. I caught her on the bike just before the dismount line and let’s just say she was preparing for the run. Looks like she exited transition but doesn’t have any run splits after that.

Lionel hasn't lost a 70.3 to someone other than frodeno or brownlee since 2016 worlds. He ain't losing this weekend.

I doubt TO has been training much. This is probably just an appearance fee for him and Rinny.

TO will race like he has nothing to prove. Lionel will race like he has everything to prove.

It didn’t seem smart for him to race again so soon since he mentioned his foot was re-broken a few weeks before Kona.

Stated on the video that not podiuming in Kona changed the race plan.

Thanks!!! I don't really care much for LS's videos so I'm dependent on you guys for the "inside scoop". :)

My understanding from the video is :

he did not prepared any nutrition plan for Kona, so just not drank enough on the bike, and just get dehydrated before the end of bike... then not able to run
he still not have a nutrition plan for IM... so goes to IM70.3

Summary : need some help, choose DTD

Looks like Lionel is going to have a 5 minute lead off the bike soon, pretty easy chip shot to take this race today it appears. Good for his mindset for sure, wonder if he will try and drill the run, even though he could just run a moderate tempo and win this thing. You know, save some for later Lionel!!

Looks like Rinny has the same chip shot as Lionel, she just has to hold her back together. Cant really see what happened to Angela Naeth, seems like she should have caught her on the bike by now...

Lionel rode a 2;02, so if an accurate course, pretty fast. Any predictions for the run? I think he ignores what he should do, and goes for a time that will satisfy his fragile ego. 1;10/1;11+ I would say..Probably could win with a 1;18 or so..

His run time will be better if he didn't forget to drink during the bike (pink ?)
