TOD - putting it all on the line

Apologies if this has already been said - I used the search function, but might have missed it.

Even if I did, I certainly don't think there is a thread on it, and it deserves one - TOD was absolutely spent at the finish line. He had to be carried to the med tent. You have gotta respect that kind of effort - you could see when Lange came up beside him and Currie, TOD wanted to go with them but was trying to gauge his effort.

Apparently he whacked it with about a mile to go to leave Currie and grab fourth. Huge respect for that kind of commitment at the end, when you are on the limit, to get the result rather than just jogging it in when you know you have a top five. It's just a shame that we couldn't see their battle on the coverage. Hopefully it gets some airtime on the NBC special (if there is one).

But, anyways - I have always respected TOD, and reckon he hasn't received the praise he deserved for that race. So, kudos.

I also thought a positive thread might balance out the forum a little. [pink]
