I don't think that's them. I was looking to and those were the obvious choice but they don't look the same.

The ones the guys have are even smoother on the corners

A hair management system?? Isn't that what a swim cap is for?

The under cap holds in the hair & the stiff outer cap is all about hydrodynamics. It's actually got a somewhat rigid shape to it.

The hilarious thing is... those googles would fog up and then fill with water in a long OWS. They are designed for 2 minutes in the pool.

I paid $15 for Speedo Air Seal Tri Mirrored. They never leak.

the one mentioned above as the ones he's wearing are not the super elite ($85-$100), just the elite3 ($60-$75)

REally? I bought the mirrored ones and they were leaking like a sieve on my last swim. I had to stop and readjust a bunch of times. I guess I will stick with my NEST PRO's

Swedes are still the best. I have a hard time paying anything more than 5 dollars for goggles.

But.. but... but... this is ST!

You know that ST members always get the meanest, baddest, most fuckin expensive gear available EVEN if these things wouldn't do jack shit for their performance. I will STARE down the first swimmer in my pool that wears these goggles.

I'd be nervous about using them in a tri though- wouldn't want to get kicked in the face with the swedes on. Nice in the pool, though.

I've been using essentially the same style tyr goggles since I was 8, just keep upgrading the colors and lenses. $10-$20/pair. Hey, if it ain't broke...

$75 for a pair of goggles?

Holy Moly.

That's up there with the $75 compression socks.

At first, I agreed with you - overkill. But, watching most of the swimming (especially the women), I see the value. If you look at the US men and women, there is not a single ripple or crease on their heads. The "hair management system," otherwise known as the first swim cap, holds down the hair. The second cap is completely flat to the head the has not seams. It is noticeably different than the swimmers from other countries who are not using the same cap(s). In a race of hundreds of a second, I can see the value.

Agree 100%. Sweeds are and always have been the best/cheapest goggles on the market. At $4 a pair....they get fogged up you just toss them in the trash and your on to the next pair...
