Sun Yang a potential cheater. Color me shocked.

interesting. I remember the first time I watched him swim and was like how the fuck is this? and then he dominated the race. I was a fan to see some diversity coming into swimming and holding there own, but never heard of his . . . problems. Smashing a locker in a meet and hiring a security guard to smash his test vial I think can positively negate the lack of a test. Dudes crazy and getting some roid-rage.

Dang, if this Yang didn't avoid FINA's fang when he hit that blood vial with a bang. But WADA has not yet sang and may still give him the wang!

I disagree as I am in no way defending anything Sun Yang has done and his actions point strongly at him doping (as does his previous conviction). I would argue that it seems that FINA has as much appetite for dealing with doping in swimming as both the ATP and WTA have.

alright everyone, get ready to laugh at me:

Sun is known a hot-headed, Prima Donna. He thinks everyone is out to get him. A tester comes in, doesn't follow protocol, so he does what hot-headed Prima Donnas do and smashes the blood vial.

I think he will end up getting busted again. But until then I am going to cling to a tiny thread and give him the benefit of the doubt.

Couldn't read the article behind the paywall, but not sure how FINA could not sanction him if the basics are correct. How much money do they get from China anyways?

Athletes doping for national glory is much worse than athletes doping for corporate profits because...well...well...I got nuthin'.

He should be sanctioned for the delay at the door and the unescorted trip to the washroom then. All three are violations.

Unless you're referring to something different, Sun Yang didn't smash the vial. His mother ordered security guards to smash the vial.

That sounds much more calculated and deliberate than what you're describing.

Has he accused anybody of racism yet? That is always a good card to play.

i'm increasingly one of the "they're all dirty" types. i don't know if it's wisdom, experience, cynicism, or something else. i don't like it, but it's what i think.
