So with no pool for the next weeks/months, I did a stretch cords workout today (I used it in the past only for warmup). I just mimicked one of my swim workouts based on set times. It feels a lot more muscular focused (my hr was nowhere close to swimming hr), and effort focused on much more specific muscles (triceps, deltoids) than when I swim.
So wanted to ask people with more experience
a. Is there real benefit to this, can it keep my swim fitness up - not concerned about aerobic fitness since I'm biking/running, more about swim specificity
b. Any recommendations on how to best utilize stretch cords to keep as much swim fitness as possible
