Stac Zero Halcyon Weights
Hey everyone

I just picked up the Halcyon smart trainer from Stac Zero. It felt pretty good during the bike fit I was having, and needed a smart trainer anyway.

The videos show attachment for 20, 24 and 32 spoke rims, but the bike I just purchased has 28 spoke rims. I am awaiting a response from Stac Zero on if they are compatible. Just wondering if anyone here has set this up, or if I need to find a used rim and cassette to dedicate to the trainer. I feel that option will add time in set up once I get going outdoors

Thanks in advance, Matt

Hi,

I just counted my wife’s rear and she has 28 spikes.

Been working fine now for 4 months.

Just go ahead and follow the instructions, you’ll be fine.

Cheers,
Maurice

Great to hear someone has done it! Curious, does one of the weights sit on a different spoke than the "target", or is it not 180 from the first?

I am at work till about 7 so can't actually check which spoke it would fall on...

Thanks

For what it's worth, I use a Halcyon without the weights. I have to take my bike off and on a couple times a week, so they were somewhat of a hassle. I couldn't feel much difference training with and without them, so I don't bother anymore.
