Sram tt500 shifter rebuild?
The detent on my rear shifter has worn so that it frequently won't hold the chosen gear and will drop down one after shifting.

Is this fixable with a rebuild, or am I better off just buying a new shifter?

Shifters are cheap.

Yeah I know. Its not a question motivated very much by cost.

It's more about the, admittedly small, PITA factor associated with recabling the shifter. It's not that big of a deal, but if I can avoid it, and incur marginally less cost and still get the shifter "like new" thats a win.

I know for sure the R2C (10 SP) can be rebuilt. I've done it 4+ times in addition to replacing the rear shifter 2-3x. At this point I'm nursing it along until my next bike whenever that will be. Just need Shimano to get out their next groupo bcuz I'm done with SRAM. Period. So many issues...although, no promises Shimano wouldn't have issues with a new grouppo either.

Yeah, rebuilt kit for R2C was like $25. My shop did it.
